When you rent an E-bike from Alpine Ride, you can follow the GPS map we have created on google maps to visit all of the highlights in Interlaken including Lake Brienz, Unspunnen Castle Ruins, and the Heimwehfluh viewpoint. You start by cruising along the Aare River on a bike path that leads to Lake Brienz. The path continues along the lake past several scenic spots where you can jump in for a swim or just stop for some photos. Then you arrive at the small town of Bönigen on the lake, where you can stop for a coffee, some food, or refill your water bottle at a local fountain. Next you continue on a back road towards Wildserwil, past Interlaken’s retired military airport. Continue through Wilderswil where you will again have the opportunity to stop for food and drink if desired. The GPS will bring you up to the Unspunnen Castle Ruins or titled as “Burgruine Unspunnen” on google maps, where you can park your bikes out front and explore the ruins as you would like. Finally you continue up to the Heimwehfluh viewpoint which is a small mountain climb to a tower viewpoint and restaurant. You can park your bikes at the top and climb to the top of the tower to a scenic view overlooking Interlaken and Lake Thun. This is a perfect spot to see the sunset.
